Within Temptation est un groupe de Metal Symphonique hollandais, dont les membres sont Sharon den Adel (voix), Robert Westerholt (Guitare), Jeroen van Veen (Basse), Step...hen van Haestregt (Batterie), Martijn Spierenburg (Clavier) et Rudolf Adrianus Jolie (Guitare). Within Temptation a débuté en 1996, et leur première démo s’appellait « Enter ». Elle fut suivie d’un album également nommé Enter, mais très rapidement secondé par The Dance en 1998.
